ACEN Australia’s Stubbo Solar has commenced full commercial operations, becoming the first solar project in Australia backed by LTESA to achieve this status. The 400MW Stubbo Solar project is one of the largest constructed in Australia and supplies enough energy to power approximately 185,000 homes annually.
To officially open the site, ACEN Australia held a gathering onsite with stakeholders involved in the project's development, including landholders, Traditional Owners, local government representatives, financiers, offtake partners, the Hon Penny Sharpe MLC (NSW Minister for Climate Change and Energy), as well as members from the ACEN Australia, ACEN, and Ayala teams.
The project also announced an additional development: Flow Power has secured an offtake from Stubbo Solar to support the implementation of its residential energy plan, Flow Home, in New South Wales.
This offtake represents 10% of Stubbo’s total generation and ensures that all Flow Home customers’ electricity usage is matched with Green Power-accredited renewable energy
