Overview
NSW Roadmap Tender 8 is seeking an indicative 2.5 GW of generation capacity across NSW. Registrations are currently open and will close on 22 June 2026.
Registration is essential for Proponents to be able to submit a Bid in this tender.
Eligible proponents in NSW are encouraged to submit bids for Generation and/or Hybrid Generation LTESAs.

- The Tender Guidelines which contain all relevant information on the process and criteria for this tender, to support proponents in preparing and submitting a bid.

- The Proforma Hybrid Generation LTESA
- The MC1 Market Briefing Note which provides guidance on the assessment of Merit Criteria 1 – Financial Value and System Benefits (MC1).
- The Social Value Market Briefing Note which provides guidance on updated social value submission requirements and assessment under Merit Criteria 4 (MC4).
Interaction with the Australian Government’s Capacity Investment Scheme
This tender marks the recommencement of tenders for generation infrastructure under the NSW Roadmap. The NSW allocation under the CIS is expected to be subscribed in the current CIS Tender 7, following which generation projects in NSW will continue to be supported through NSW Roadmap tenders.
Products available in this tender
Proponents will be able to bid for either a Generation LTESA or a Hybrid Generation LTESA.
This tender introduces the new Hybrid Generation LTESA, developed by ASL following industry consultation. This product has been designed to cater for, and support the growing presence of hybrid projects in the pipeline.
