Consultation on Hybrid Generation LTESA
ASL completed a four week consultation program engaging a broad cross section of the market on the proposed Hybrid Generation LTESA. This work responds to the growing shift towards solar hybrid projects and ensures ASL’s products continue to evolve in line with market needs while complementing the existing Generation LTESA.
Across the consultation period, ASL met with industry, government, market bodies, investors, developers, and domestic and international lenders, and received over 20 written submissions providing detailed insights.
A consolidated summary of the feedback is now available, outlining the key themes raised through both meetings and submissions. Work is underway to integrate the feedback received on the design of the new Hybrid Generation LTESA, which is expected to be available alongside the existing Generation LTESA when ASL opens its next Generation tender in Q2 2026.
About the consultation
ASL is committed to adapting its products to reflect the evolving needs of the market. A noticeable shift towards hybrids has been observed, particularly solar-hybrids, with an increasing number both in the project pipeline and participating in our tenders. In response to this, ASL aims to support hybrid projects through a Hybrid Generation LTESA product.
The modified Hybrid Generation LTESA is intended to sit alongside the existing Generation LTESA. The Generation LTESA will continue to support standalone generation projects, and can still be used to support hybrid projects where suitable for the project configuration.
