ASL recently hosted the inaugural NSW Roadmap Investor Day, bringing together developers, investors, government and industry leaders to discuss opportunities through the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap and the next phase of investment in the State’s energy transition.

The Investor Day was designed to help industry understand the investment opportunities and project support available under the integrated Roadmap framework.

Held ahead of ASL’s upcoming Q2 2026 tender round, presentations focused on system needs, market conditions, tender pathways and the coordinated role of entities across the Roadmap framework in enabling project delivery across New South Wales.

In opening the event, ASL Chief Executive Officer Nevenka Codevelle reinforced the importance of long-term policy certainty and a whole of system approach to supporting market delivery.

“A key message throughout the day was clear: New South Wales is open for business,” Nevenka said.

“With a legislated and durable framework in place, the Roadmap continues to provide strong foundations for investment in generation, storage and related infrastructure.”

Speakers from across the Roadmap ecosystem shared insights into current priorities and delivery pathways, including representatives from the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, EnergyCo, the Investment Delivery Authority, the Energy Security Corporation, and ASL.

Presentations highlighted the scale of the upcoming opportunity, including ASL’s largest generation and long-duration storage tender round delivered under the Roadmap to date.

The event explored the importance of converting the state’s substantial development pipeline into delivered projects, with presentations focused on the importance of deliverability, network augmentation opportunities and project bankability.

ASL thanks all speakers and attendees for contributing to a productive and forward-looking discussion on the future of energy infrastructure investment in New South Wales.
